Welcome to the last issue of IASSIST Quarterly for 2024, IQ vol. 48(4) 2024 . We are excited to share news of several developments that we have been working on over the last few months: The IASSIST Qualitative Social Science and Humanities Data Interest Group (QSSHDIG) is planning an IASSIST Quarterly special issue dedicated to the complexities of sharing qualitative data. For this special issue, we invite submissions of abstract proposals focused on the ethical challenges, methodological concerns, and labor involved in making qualitative data and research materials publicly available.

Call for Papers: Special Issue of IASSIST Quarterly

Guest editors from the QSSHDIG Leadership Team invite proposals for a special issue of IASSIST Quarterly on Aligning Qualitative Data Services with Open Science and Access. In 2019, members of the IASSIST Qualitative Social Science & Humanities Data Interest Group (QSSHDIG) edited an IASSIST Quarterly special issue (Vol. 43, No 2 ) focused on extending data services to qualitative research by exploring training, service visibility, transparency, and reuse practices. A second special issue of IASSIST Quarterly is warranted to explore qualitative data through the lens of FAIR, CARE, open science, and access.
